Songkhla


is aland of culture,an ancient land of thousands of yeares on years on the basin plain land of the lake which has seas on the 2 coasts i.e. Songkhla Lake and Gulf of Thailand which Popularly is called Sathingphra Cape. Now the site of Amphur Sathingphra,Amphur Ranode ,Sub-district Krasaesindth and Amphur Singhanakorn .






The word Songkhla is though to be derived from the word Singhala which means lion by indian,Persian and Arabian merchants who had seen koh Nu-koh Maew which look like 2 lion kneeling.

Chiang Mai



Thailand's"Rose of the North" is a cultural and natural wonderland with ethnic diversity,a multitude of attractions,


Chang Mai Iiterally means"New city" and has retained the name despite celebrating its 700th anniversary in 1996. King Meang Rai the Great founded the city as the capital of the Lanna Kingdom on Thursday,April 12' 1296 around the same time as the estabilishment of the Sukhothai Kingdom.


Chang Mai is one of the few places inthe Thailand where it is possible to ecperience both historical and modern Thai culture coexisting side by side.

Sing Buri





Sing Buri is 142 kms. north of Bangkok on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. It was established in the year 1895 during the reign of King Rama V through a consolidation of three small riverside towns including Sing Buri, In Buri, and Phrom Buri. The province currently occupies an area of 822 square kilometres and is divided into six districts (Amphoes): Muang Sing Buri, In Buri, Bang Rachan, Khai Bang Rachan, Phrom Buri and Tha Chang.

Monument of Bang Rachan Heroes

This is situated in Amphoe Khai Bang Rachan, 13 kms. southwest of the town on Route No. 3032. The statues refer to the villagers of Bang Rachan who bravely fought against the Burmese army in 1765 during the reign of King Ekkathat of Ayutthaya. In spite of many more troops than the villagers, the Burmese had to make eight attacks before the villagers were defeated due to their shortage of weapons.








Wat Phra Non Chaksri

This temple is 4 Kms.South of the town along the Sing Buri-Suphan Buri route. It houses a hudge Sukhothai-Style reclining Buddha image , which is revered by the local people and renowned for its large size, almost 46 metres long.

Phitsanulok



Phitsanulok City spans the banks of Maenam Nan and has Maenam Kwae Noi running through it. Therefore, it is locally known and historically referred to as Song Kwae City (song means two and kwae means a river). Most of Phitsanulok's terrain is flatlands, with one third of the area being mountain ranges on the north and the east. Its unique natural endowments including natural parks and waterfalls make a trip to Phitsanulok worthwhile.

Apart from its exceptional natural charisma, Phitsanulok provides visitors with an opportunity to explore notable chapters of Thailand's history. For example, remains of an ancient community dating back between 2,000-4,000 years, including old stone axes, was found here. In addition, the old temple of Wat Chula Mani, situated 5 kilometers south of the city, was built even before the Sukhothai Kingdom burst into power.

The Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya










The Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya or Ayutthaya in short,
is one of Thailand's historical and majestic hightlights.Serving as the
Thai capital for 417 years ago(1350 1767:Kingdom of Ayutthaya)
,it was once glorified ad one of the biggest cities in the world a Southeasr Asia center for civilization.

Wat Yai Chai Mongkol

Located to Southeast of the island,this temples lofty chedi is visible from most of town.The monastery was built in 1900 by King U-thong who granted the temple with the name Wat Pa Kaew. The intension was to create a center of Buddhist studies (Ceylonese Sect).As the temple used by a patriarch,local people also called it Wat Cho Phraya Thai.
The present name was given granted to the temple by King Naresuan to commemorate a battle fought against the Crown Prince of Burma in 1592. His momentous victory a single-handed combat on the elephant back brought independence to Ayutthaya after 15 years as a Burmese dependent.
The Ubosot or ordination hall is windowless but ventilate by pierces holes stretching down the roof on both walls.Also situated in the compound is King Naresuans statue,which is highly revered by Thais. Admission fee is 20 bahts.
